Children's Day Message By Rohan Surana (General Secretary Computer Graphics Club)

“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of nation and the citizens of tomorrow.”
                                                                         -         Jawaharlal Nehru

Children’s Day was first proclaimed by the World Conference for the well-being of children in 1925 and then established universally in 1954. Children’s day, in Hindi known as ‘Bal Divas’, in India falls on November 14th every year on Chacha Nehru's birthday. It is celebrated as a day of fun and frolic, a celebration of childhood, children and Nehruji's love for them.
Nehru Ji was fond of roses and children.  All over the country, various cultural and social organizations, institutions and even corporate sectors conduct various programmes for children.  Indian schools have a ton of cultural programmes for the day, with the students managing it all.  Therefore, Children's Day is special. It is a day set aside to remember Pandit Nehru and his love for children.

                                                                                                                                                                           Computer Graphics Club
                                                                                                                                                             Rukmani Birla Modern High School

Children's Day Greetings...

The Computer Graphics Club of Rukmani Birla Modern High School wishes all the kids a very happy Children's Day.

Childhood is the most innocent time of our lives, it's when we believe in Santa Claus and Tooth fairies. It's when a small candy is the best reward. And it's when bleeding knees cause the worst pains.

Its always said that childhood doesn't  last forever but I believe memories are the timeless treasures of the heart. I hope all the children enjoy, because it's their day today.

Along with this I would also like to wish Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru a joyous Birthday.
Moreover, I would also like to request the privileged children to spread smiles to the unfortunate ones, who don't have enough resources.

Diwali Greetings By Rohan Surana (General Secretary Computer Graphics Club)

Diwali Greetings By Rohan Surana (General Secretary- Computer Graphics Club, RBMHS)

“Let this diwali burn all your bad times and enter you in good times."
Diwali is also known as “Deepavali- Festival of lights, Thee Vazhi”.It is an ancient Hindu festival falls on the Amavasya of the month of Kartik every year. It marks the victory of Ram over Ravana. As a matter of fact, Diwali is the symbol of the victory of the forces of good over evil, hope over despair, light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance; hope over despair. It is a festival of lights and firework.
Everyone starts making arrangement one month before Diwali, new cloths are purchased, houses are cleaned and decorated with lights, flowers etc.  On this festival, homes are decorated with lightning and earthen pots.  Sweets are made and distributed among friends and relatives. At the same time during night, fire-works and crackers are also let off.
The Hindus worship Lakshmi; the Goddess of wealth on this day. They say prayers, so that Goddess Lakshmi may visit their houses. Lakshmi Puja is the Puja of Lakshmi Goddess and is performed at
the night during Diwali.
Diwali festival is the festival of the whole country. India has been celebrating this festival for thousands of years and continues to celebrate it even today which is both historical and religious.

Indian Independence Day Quotes

Grasp the opportunity with both hands to feel really very special as an Indian reading these quotes on the Indian Independence Day. A number of famous and reputed persons have thrown some light on the chapter of Indian Independence.

  • Long years ago, we made a tryst with destiny and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge... At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.                                                                                                                                                                                 Jawaharlal Nehru
  • India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. Our most valuable and most astrictive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only!                                                                                                                                                                                                     Mark Twain

  • We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made!                                                                                                                Albert Einstein
